Prompt: An illustration to print on a t-shirt for a private event.

A client of mine reached out for a personal project to help memorialize a loved one who had passed away. Every year, his friends meet to celebrate his life and to commemorate that year’s event, my client requested a custom t-shirt.

I created the illustration based on a provided photograph of the honoree. The group are big fans of the Grateful Dead so I incorporated some of their imagery to pay homage to their shared passion. It was a great honor to design this project and was very fulfilling.

As with any t-shirt I design, I strive to create a timelessness to allow it to be worn again and again.
